A lot has happened lately

Well hello there! I'm sorry its been forever! D: I promise I'll be more active on my blog. Let's see, a lot has happened in my busy life. First, in October, Family Fun Day has passed by. That was a blast! :D Family Fun Day is a annual event at my church. We had Trunk or Treat, you probably have heard of that. But I have more important news! :)


Okay, so a while ago I went to the Eye Doctor, and got some new glasses. But they told me I don't have to wear them all the time! :D Only when I have to see far away, kinda like reading glasses, but the opposite. I'm so happy!!!! ^u^

I really need to update the look on my blog, I look a lot different now. :P I will tell you more on this post, but it's kinda getting late. ^^'

Fall is here!

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. ^^' Well, as many of you can tell, the leaves are changing colors, the air is getting cooler, and it's a sign that Christmas is coming! Wow, can't you believe it?! I need to start thinking about my gifts I'm going to give to everyone.



So, what's coming up for me this fall? First of all, at the end of this month is going to be Family Fun Day. It's going to be happening at my church and it's going to be awesome! I'll tell you more about it later. The next thing is me and my family are heading down to Tennessee for Thanksgiving! We are celebrating it with Tiffany and Jonathan, and of course little Max! I'm quite excited! The last time I've been to TN was in the spring time.



So, I've given you a little update, sorry for not posting on my blog lately!

First day of school tomorrow!

I can't believe it, summer has flown by! :( That makes Moriah sad....but I guess I could try to look forward to it. I mean, I homeschool, it's not much of a pain...but summer....I'm going to miss you!

For my opinion, homeschooling is way different than public school! First of all, you have a co-op, second of all, you have less work. And third of all, your parents are the teachers! That's pretty cool, right?

I'm starting 6th grade, so wish me the best of luck! :)

My awesome gifts from my awesome friends and family

Well, as you know, my birthday was yesterday, so I'm going to tell you the gifts I recieved from the wonderful people I know. :) I'll do it by name.

My Parents: A phone!!!!!!!!!!! XD A sweater storage thing I can put in my closet, Eye makeup, and clothes.

Tiffany: (She gave me something when she visited us.) A cute purse with nail polish in it. :)

Miranda: A Manga drawing book, ink pens, white erasers, a sketch journal, and colored pencils. Oh, and a bag of M&M's which I'm munching on right now. x3

Ben: The game Flower for PS3, It's a very relaxing game.

Alycia: A cute wallet with cards inside it saying very nice things about me. :3 And she also gave me some really cute earrings.

There was also some of my friends from church that gave me some stuff. One of my closest friends gave me a twenty dollar gift card to Kohls. :) One of my very favorite places to shop! And his mom, (She's a good friend of mine too.) promised me one of her very famous, (At least to me!) cake pops! :D They also gave me cute cards, as well as their daughters\sisters! It was so sweet. :3

Well as you can tell, my twelfth birthday was the best of them all! :D

Do you want me to tell you my whole birthday story? ^^ Okay! Here we go!

So, I was expected to be born in October, BUT something happened. My mom's blood pressure got pretty high, so they had to make me come earlier. Two months earlier. And their's more!  My dad was in Africa, trying to book a flight. But his first flight got canceled. So he had to wait another day. The good thing was that he got back to Maine two days before my mom entered the hospital. My mom was in the hospital for a few days, not sleeping at all. Then I was born! :)

Want a interesting fact? Well, I couldn't wear baby clothes. I had to wear doll clothes. Their were no baby clothes that could fit me. And for diapers, well we had to cut them in order for me to wear them. Yeah, I was a interesting baby. ^^

My parents say that I was hard to take care of when I was first born. Because for a while, I couldn't eat, I didn't have any food for a while. My parents also say I was fragile, and you could almost see through my fingers! O.O

Well, enough of me talking, I kinda spent my birthday morning lazy, and I better get ready for this big day! :)

A quick update on my life

Well, I guess it's about time for me to tell you what's going on in my wonderful life?

First things first, Tiffany left about a couple weeks ago, and we enjoyed having her very much! :)

Second, Hurricane Irene is hitting us at the moment, but we are doing fine. Some of my friends are out of power, but luckily we aren't...yet...

Third, my birthday is on Tuesday! :D I'm turning twelve! x3

 Besides this drawing, Tiffany is flew into Maine today! She is staying at our house from today to next Wednesday, we are all happy that she is here! :)

Some things I discovered about me

OK, I recently discovered that one of my new favorite music artists is Toby Mac. Here is some of his songs!

Those are some of my favorite songs from him. I think the style of his music for Jesus is really unique! I like it because when we praise the Lord, we want to do it in a way that will make us dance! :) This style of music isn't for everyone, but it is for me. :) I especially like Funky Jesus Music, it's a fun song!

                                     
The other things I found out about me is that my favorite animals are wolves! :) Why? They are just so adorable and such beautiful creatures!

Well, with all of that said, I'm sorry for not keeping up with my blog! :( I'm sorry, I'll try to post more often, I'm just a busy person, and when I have the time, I can't really think of what to post! But I'll try! ;)

Happy Late 4th of July!

Happy Late 4th of July! Sorry I wasn't able to say this yesterday, I was sorta busy. :( But I hope you had a wonderful 4th! :)

I went out with some friends yesterday, first we had a cookout at their house, then we went to "go see fireworks." We went to Fort Williams to try to see the fireworks, but it was too foggy, so we couldn't see them. We saw some, but not a lot. But we saw something that was way more beautiful than fireworks. We saw the gorgesous lighhouse spinning it's light around and around, hearing the bells and the fog horn. We also saw the ocean hit against the surface, you could smell the sweet fragrance of the ocean. I also saw a cute little bench at a gorgesous angle. I bet millions of people proposed there before. :)


But the sight I saw was a one of a lifetime chance to see, Why? Because usually Fort Williams is closed to visitors at sundown, but on the 4th of July you can stay longer. Your probably asking, couldn't you just do that every year? You can, but it probably wouldn't be foggy like that again. The fog made it so beautiful!

Their was other fun stuff we did to entertain ourselves. Like, we had a flashlight, we flickered it on and off, then we saw some other people that had flashlights, they copied us! We copied them, we could hear them giggling, and they probably could hear us too! :)

Back from Youth Camp!!!! :D

I got back from Youth Camp yesterday, and it was AWESOME! :D It was my first time there, it was actually Junior Camp, but I just call it Youth Camp. God touched a lot of kids there, Even me! I really believe God is going to heal my eyes so I won't have to wear glasses anymore, could you please be praying for me? :)


Camp was really fun, but stressful at times, but it was worth it! ;) We played tons of fun games, it was so fun!


            Well, that's probably about it, I'm SO tired from camp! I guess this is bye for now, oh, before I go, could you please keep me in your prayers, not just for my eyes, but just overall, I really need prayer.

Sorry I haven't been blogging.....

I haven't been blogging recently because Blogger has been kinda acting weird for me, but now I'm back! :) Nothing much has been going on, except I just got back from my church's softball game. It was fun! :) Too bad we lost both games....oh well, it was still fun! :) Oh! I also went to the mall today! Today has been fun! OH! Another thing is yesterday was my last day of school! SUMMER VACATION!!! :D YAY!!!

I guess quite a lot of things has been happening! :) This summer I'm heading down to California, EXCITING! :D We get to go to Hollywood, Disneyland, and my brother's gradutaion is the main reason why we're going! :) We just booked an awesome hotel! Right next to the beach and a amazing pool! And awesome rooms! :) This is my first time going to California! We are also going to LA! We get to go see the Hollywood stars and the Hollywood sign! :D I'm psyched!


                                    In other news, tomorrow is sunday! One of my very fav days! ;) This week has been awesome!

Well, I haven't posted in a while, so I guess I will tell you what's going on in my life. I'll start in order.


Past:

Monday: I didn't have school as usual, yippee!

Tuesday: Um, I had school.

Wednesday: I had church classes, nothing too excited happened.....Oh but I had piano lessons.

Present:

Thursday: Which is today, I went over to the church to play with some buddies and talked to my best friend that's a adult and her name is Michelle.

Future:

Friday: One of my BFF's is sleeping over! :D

Saturday: The sleepover continues.

Sunday: CHURCH!!!! :D

The Royal Wedding

Who saw The Royal Wedding? I did! We recorded it and watched it a couple hours ago. (We didn't want to get up early!)

Well, for those of you who don't know, The Royal Wedding was a wedding in England where the "Soon to be King of England' got married to the "Soon to be Queen of England." And will probably be in future history books.


Congratulations Prince William and Princess Catherine! Happy days of marriage! (Most likely they aren't reading this but I'll give it a shot.)

Who's excited for Easter? I am! :) I picked out a really cute blue dress for Easter sunday, and brand new high heels. (They're not that high.) I'm just egg-xtremely egg-xited! :3 *giggle*


Anyways, at the beginning of this week I had a nasty cold. :( But luckily I only had it for one day at it's worse. I'm feeling a lot better now.  Now, back to Easter, me and my family haven't painted any eggs yet, because of my nasty cold. But that's okay, because I got a brand new dress! :D I love dresses, who doesn't?


                                        Hmm....what else can I squeeze into this blog post....oh yes! Palm Sunday last sunday was so much fun. :) Ok, at my church a bunch of people dressed up like in the bible times. They greeted people who walked in through the door saying, "Jesus is coming to town!" or "The King is coming!" etc.   Well, they wore costumes over their clothes. I forgot to get a costume. :( I didn't get to dress up, but I still acted some.


                 Before I close this up, tell me your Easter tradition, tell me egg-xactly everything! :3 (Sorry I just had to put in one more egg pun.)

BACK HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Yes that's right!!!!!! Back home, had a wonderful time at TN, and I am excited for tonight! Why? Cuz' tonight I go to church for Wed. night classes! AND, I get to see my friends again! I hope they missed me...... :3 Well I surely missed them!

I got home yesterday afternoon, this is what I did when I got home.......


When we got home, I was so tired of sitting in one spot for the longest time! I was sick of sitting in that car the whole trip, when I got out of the car I ran around the parking lot like crazy, yelling, "It's SO good to be home!" I ran up to the playground and climbed the bars and was shouting, "WOOHOO!!!!!!" Then I ran up to one of the light poles and started making music on them with sticks. (I left some sticks on the poles because I do this in occasion.)  And I was having so much fun, then my dad said time to bring stuff in. Oh and I also hugged people before I did all of this.

On my way to TN! :)

I'm heading down to TN tomorrow, right now I'm at my grandparents and they live 5 hours away from TN. I was traveling yesterday with my dad first thing in the morning. It was a 18 hour drive I think. But tomorrow I'm going to TN and get to see one of my besties! :D Oh and one of my sisters! ;) That is Tiffany, oh and her husband Jonathan. I'm so excited!!!! :D

Heehee, sorry I haven't posted on here for a long time! :( Well, let me give you some news, I recently discovered I LOVE lobster! :) And I'm also going down to Tennessee next week!!!!!!!!!!!! :D YAY!!!!!! But I will miss Maine a lot while I'm gone, but I barely get to go to TN! I get to see my bestie there, and my twin! :) Heehee, I mean my sister Tiffany and her husband Jonathan. Spring is coming! :D

The snow is starting to melt and the sun FINALLY showed up! :) I went biking today, and boy, was it wonderful! I also was shooting some hoops, kicking a soccerball across the parking lot and just enjoying the beginning of Spring. But one thing I can't believe is that I have been living in Maine for almost a year! :O *GASP* It's seem shorter, but everyone I met in my church feels like I've known them for years!


                                       So, have you done anything lately to celebrate the coming of Spring?

Who's ready for the summer?

Who's ready for the summer? I know I am! :) The nice hot sizzling sun.....that just hovers over you while you just lay down on a towel watching the waves crash up against the beach.........*sigh* And then riding your bike in a huge parking lot.......then swimming.....then no school.....then more time spending with friends....and so much more........ :) There is a lot to do in the summer! And I'm especially excited for this year because I wasn't in Maine that long in the summer, We moved in August, so it was a short summer for me. :) Yet, a very busy one because of the move and stuff, but this year is going to be A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!!! :D



Summer is probably my favorite season. :) It's so wonderful! Well, one thing for sure is that I want the snow to melt and be able to see the grass! Who's with me? ;)

My Dad is an internet sensation! :D

These videos here are about my dad playing his first video game called Portal. My brother did the video taping, these videos were made in 2008. Quite a while ago, but, recently these videos made it to a popular website called The Escapist. It's got like thousands of hits. :) When my brother, Ben, made these videos a long time ago, they weren't really popular, but since they are up on a popular site, now it's an internet sensation. :) Check out the videos above.

Miranda comes home! :D

My sister has been in Tennessee for a while training a horse, and she's FINALLY home! :) She was supposed to be there for two weeks, but it turned out to be two MONTHES. We have been here for six monthes, so that means she's been here for only four monthes here in Maine. Wow, I know!

She came home last Wednesday night, or should I say Thursday morning. ;) She got home like at 3 o' clock.


          Well, it's great having her back! :) I just thought I let you all on a scoop of my life, again.

Happy Late Valentine's Day! I'm so sorry I haven't blogged in such a long time, I've been so busy! And the other day when I tried to post on my blog, for some reason it wasn't working. But anyways, my Valentine's Day was awesome! The scavenger hunt went great! :)  I got some cool stuff from our basket that we get at the end of the hunt, and guess what was in it??? A really cute shirt that had a rose on it with stripes and some REALLY cute belts! :D Sorry I'm going all girly on ya if it bothers you. :) There was also some candy! :P Yum! Oh we also got some lint rollers. :) We need those a lot of times, especially when we wear black, and I wear black quite often! :)


 Anyways, I got some great news! Last Sunday night, I got baptized in the Holy Spirit! :) It was a really awesome night.

It's another Sunday

Hey everyone! :) I've been thinking that every Sunday I make a new post on my blog. Well, I have been doing that, right? :)

 Anyways, today was a pretty good day at church. Right now I'm just sitting down and watching some TV while I type away at my mom's laptop. I've got another sleepover tomorrow, the same person who came to my house for a sleepover. So I'm excited for that.

  So Sundays I'll usually give you a inside scoop on my life if I don't have much to say like this blog post.

FINALLY it's the weekend again! :)

I just got home from my co-op, well, actually co-op was a long time ago, it's 4:00! I just did a lot of errands with my parents. But when I went to Ridgeway (my co-op) it felt like a long time since I went to the church! Oh, my co-op takes place at my home.....okay I guess you can call it the church, but I still call it HOME. :) It felt like a long time because Wednesday night service got canceled. :(  I also hear there is going to be ANOTHER snow storm next Wednesday! :(


 I'm starting to think negative, let's change the subject. :) Well, It's finally the weekend, and tomorrow we have absolutely NOTHING to do. :) Ah, that sounds good, doing nothing after a very busy week. We just came home from my grandparent's house Tuesday, so things have been quite busy. I also can't wait for Sunday, you know. Well, okay, if you don't know, it's church.



 YAWN......I think I'm going to end this post........ I'm getting sleepy......don't blame me....I'm always....always...b...b..busy..........Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.........

Aw, church cancelled again..... :(

Ugh, Wednesday night church service got canceled because of, wait for it, SNOW!!!!! :( This is one of the things I have to get used to of being a Mainer. I know I've been here for like, uh, hmm...*ponders* SIX MONTHS!!!!! Yeah, I should be used to everything yet, but in some ways I'm used to Maine, and some ways I'm not. But I REALLY love Maine! :)


Anyways, lets look on the bright side. My Dad says Sunday service never gets canceled! YAYS! :) Because I don't like to miss seeing my friends for over a week. Another good thing, my Mom is letting us have a snowday! NO SCHOOL!!! :D My Dad is making bagels, he makes the best! :) Tomorrow is piano lessons, hmph, I guess I could be excited for that. My piano teacher is very nice. :) Friday is Ridgeway, my Mom is teaching my writing class! Which equals fun! :) Saturday, no school!!!! :D Sunday, even better,
CHURCH!!!!!!!!!! :D  Oh, and Sunday we are having our monthly fellowship dinner! :) Me like! :)

Gone for a couple days

Hello everyone! :) Yesterday I just left our house to go to my Nana's house. You see, yesterday she was at the hospital, she's been having chest pains. :( But she got released last night! So right now I'm at their house typing away at their computer. I'll be back home tomorrow, don't worry church friends, I won't miss Wednesday night service! ;)

Ah, Mondays.....

Mondays, Mondays, Mondays...........no school for me because every Monday my teacher lets the class have break days on Mondays. I know what your thinking, "Lucky!" Well this "teacher" is my mom, and the "class" is the family. Yeah, as you can see I homeschool. ^_^


 Anyways, yesterday was church and church was fun today. AS USUAL! No surprise there.



Okay, as many of you know, Valentine's Day is coming up! :) I LOVE this very special day! At home, we have a scavenger hunt, here's how the hunt goes. There are these paper hearts, that say stuff on them, like the first heart my parents give it to someone. Pretend it said, "Where school is stored." Then that person goes and find where "School is stored." That would be our resource closet with our homeschooling stuff. Then inside there, is another paper heart and it says another thing. A different person takes a turn guessing where the next paper heart is. This continues on and on, how long my parents want it to be, then at the end, we get a basket stuffed with goodies! :D So, that's our Valentine's Day tradition.

Busy, busy life......

Sorry I haven't really been blogging much, I am a  very busy person! :) Today my co-op got canceled today! Woot, woot! :) Well co-op is fun, I get to go to my church there, and you know how I love going to my church. *wink* Speaking of church, some of my church friends are coming to play in the snow tomorrow. Which means I'll be there too! :) It's going to be fun! And then the day after tomorrow, which is Sunday, it's church, which is going to be MEGA, MEGA FUN!!!! :D


 Anyways, today has kinda been a slow day for me, I don't feel like, well, me, today. I don't know why.....oh, I think I know why, It's because today I basically did NOTHING today. That's not the Moriah I know, the Moriah I know does stuff, and I mean a LOT of stuff. Maybe today I did nothing because this week has been a long, busy week. Hmmm......what other things do I have to share with you........oh, my birthday is coming up! In like 8 monthes........what? It's the truth, okay I guess it's going to be awhile before my going to be awesome b-day comes.


                         Well, really I don't have anything else to share, so I am going to go, bye people that are reading this! :)

You know, I haven't told you much about me yet. I only told you a little about me. So I'm going to tell you about me. :)

First up is, drawing. I LOVE to draw! It helps me to express myself. It helps me to relax and it's good to do if your bored.

Next is singing. It's another way I express myself. :) Whenever I sing, I feel like I'm in another world, whatever I sing is what happens in that world. I don't sing in public a lot, but I want too. Well at church I sing because of worship of course! ;) I just really love to sing, I like to write my own songs. When I grow up I want to be a singer, well at least a song writer. Music makes me feel happy. :) When I'm happy I sing to let the happiness flow. ;)

Next thing is running. Running, well, I don't know WHY I like it but it's kinda fun. In the summer, since my church is right next to me, (My dad's the pastor of my church.) I like to run there, and I mean RUN! Our church has a playground, so I can go there whenever I want to. :) Running is a good exercise, and I run a lot outside, so I can run pretty fast.


Swimming is next. I LOVE TO SWIM!!!!! :D Swimming is SO much fun! Usually when I swim, I swim underwater. Swimming underwater is like another world. I like to do tricks underwater, like doing back flips, twirls, and swimming along the bottom of the floor. When I go underwater I like to lift my legs up then I sink gracefully into the magical world of the swimming pool. I wear goggles when I swim, I can't swim without them! What I mean is, I always swim underwater when I swim. I like to see what's underwater and if other people have goggles and love to swim underwater too, it's twice the fun! :) I also love to jump in the pool, I make up different tricks to do when I jump in. A lot of times I would jump in, then I would stay underwater for a long time, then when you don't expect it, fwooooosh! I would pop out of the water! :) I can't wait for the summer when I can swim again! :D


 Another thing is I love to dance! Dancing is so fun, it's like art through your body. I love to dance! :)



ANOTHER thing is animals. I love animals! There are so......er.....fun??? I just love them! :) I love pets and animals and yeah.........I don't have a favorite one because I love them all! :)


 Oh Webkinz is another thing. They are so cute! And fun, I have been collecting them since I was 6 years old. When I grow up, I would keep them in storage or something for a keepsake and memories. :) I have 79 right now.


Church ! :D Woot! Woot! It's like my favorite place now! :) Well besides my home, who am I kidding? Church IS home! :) Actually it kinda is because my house is right next to it!


My home. :) My home is really cool, there is forest all around it, kinda, but we are right next to the town. I love playing in the forest! It's so cool! I like to build forts with my sis, Alycia. I also have a playground at the church so I can go there whenever I want! And church is right next to us, we live at the church's parsonage.
We also live a mile away from a beach! How cool is that? There is also tons to do at our town! :) My house is also really cool, I love my room! My home is a dream come true! :)


Next is homeschooliing, I homeschool, I used to go to public school but homeschooling is so fun! I get done before lunch, and Mondays I have another break day! :)


 Last, but not least, blogging! Blogging is so much fun! Why do you think I do it a lot? :)

It's Sunday again!

Sundays, they are great. Well, today was okay......it could have been better.....but Sundays are still one of my favorite days of the week, plus Wednesdays! ;) Both of those days I have church. Today I guess was a little more than just okay, I mean, some cool things happened at worship and the night service. :) I really LOVE church, as you can tell in some of my recent posts. ;)



 Anyways, that sleepover I was talking about went great! It was SO much fun! :) It's fun just to hang out with friends. It's one of my favorite things, hanging out. :) As you can see, Sundays I like to tell a lot about my life, 'cause my life is interesting! :)

My sleepover and my list of exciting things! :)

Tomorrow is going to be great,  I, Moriah will be having a sleepover with a very close friend tomorrow at my house! :) It's very exciting for me! Last time I had a sleepover was a 2 night sleepover with my best friend who lives in Tennessee........that sleepover was the BEST sleepover ever! But hopefully this one will be just as great as that one! :)



       Anyways, I'm going to list some things I'm excited for. What? I feel like it, don't judge me, hmph....

• The summer (Because the summer is awesome and I love awesome stuff.)         
• LittleBigPlanet 2 to come out on January 18 (LittleBigPlanet 2 is a video game, click here to find out more.)
• Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings (Yup, every Sunday and Wednesday because of church!)
• Youth camp (Yeah that's in the summer too, one of the things I'm excited about the summer.)
• Valentine's Day (We have fun traditions and it's the time to show the ones you love, that you love them.)
• My birthday (WOOT,WOOT!!!! I'm turning 12!!!)
• Tomorrow (Well, the sleepover is tomorrow, you know that.)
• And the day after tomorrow (Sunday is a funday because it's a church day!)
• And the day after that (Monday's my mom let's us have no school on that day!)
• AND the day after that (It's Tuesday, I pick up LittleBigPlanet 2)
• AND the day after THAT (It's Wednesday, you know, another church day!)
• When this blog post ends (Because this could go on forever, I'm always excited for something.)

Ah, snowdays....

Hey everybody! :) Where I live, there is a snow storm, and I just came inside from making a snowman! We named him Wilbur Irvin Turpin, but we call him Wit. Guess what? I had a cold, BUT I feel a lot better! :) Just a little runny nose but besides all that, clear as a.......a.......something that's clear...........a clear vase??? Whatever, but tonight we had to cancel my Wednesday night class! NOOOOOO!!!!!!! :( I LOVE my class!!!!!! :( But even though I'm home schooled,  my mom let me skip school today! :D Yeah, I know, my friends who live in Maine who are reading this that go to public school, that's ONE thing I miss about public school, having to not go to school on snowdays! ;) I got to go and have some hot chocolate and cheese and crackers, bye! :)

Sundays are always fundays

Ah, I love Sundays, It's a day to go to to church. And as you know I love my church very much, that's where most of my friends are. Church was good today as always. :) I'm always excited to go to church, one day I was ready for church early, and I went down to church an hour early! My dad stopped me though, he just unlocked the church and he was heading back home.



Why do I love my church very much? Well It's a awesome place to go worship the Lord and fellowship there is great. I love the people there. And every Sunday morning we have coffee, tea, and hot chocolate on a table. I talk to my friends until service starts. There are many more reasons I love my church, but I got to go.

The year 2011 has been doing great for me! :)

The year 2011 has been AWESOME! :D I'm really glad I moved to Maine, I LOVE my church! There is a lot of great people there! ;) And I started homeschooling since I moved here, I used to go to public school in Tennessee, but homeschooling is great! Maine is a lot better than I thought it would be.........I'm glad I moved here even though I miss Tennessee a lot.
